The most sympathetic character was Dominic because I’d throw myself in a fucking lake if I lived in that god forsaken shithole too. The Catholic Church probably stopped millions of Irish suicides over the years out of a fear of eternal damnation.

I think Colm probably killed the donkey accidentally while trying to get it to eat his finger so that Padraic would find it in its shit.
