Watched it as a teenager so I might be wrong but I thought Get Shorty (1995) kind of ruled.

Yeah, good call. Gene Hackman was great in that. The TV spinoff that was done quite recently was actually pretty good.

Gene Hackman is easily in the Top 5 of all time greats. Weirdly likable even when he plays villains.

Yeah, he was one of the best. He was in some stinkers in the 80s, but he was always great in everything he did.
