The supernova that was Nice Podcast, Stupid! gave birth to some characters and moments that will be forever immortalised in radio history, a rise and fall (and attempted rise again) too fragile and brittle for the modern entertainment world. But who are the voices of the show and what became of them in the aftermath? In this thread we take a deep dive into the post-podcast lives of the scrappy power-users ...................behind NPS.
Boomia
After NPS went south, Boomia was at an impasse in life. No longer did he have an audience to whom he could explain how wealthy he is and how smart he was to have bought property in the 90s. Moreover, the regular flow of Amazon gift vouchers had run dry and the mortgage payments on these places weren't quite done. His children, having heard about it for the 40th time one day, told him he didn't need to confine this opinion to the house and the internet and convinced him to get out into the world and tell other people.
After wandering the ghettos and the projects, telling everyone how stupid they were for thinking short term and paying rent instead of buying, Boomia happened upon some gentlemen that disagreed with his stance on this issue and insisting upon hurting him for his percieved transgressions. Despite his 'not fat' physical stature and possessing the power to summon an ocean of saliva on command, the group were able to subdue him in a scuffle, knocking him unconscious and, most importantly of all, denying the men the right to have a sense of consciousness about the practical value of home-ownership imparted upon themselves.
Fortunately, a group of local Italians happened upon the storage locker where he had been unceremoneously dumped and helped him get medical attention. They remain friends to this day and host 'The Morning Gabagool', a podcast for young Italians who are too scared to take the jump and get themselves on the property ladder. There is a huge audience for this but to this day not one Italian has legitimately become a homeowner as a result of his advice.
Today, Boomia's living his best life and is awaiting open heart surgery. His child is down to 346lbs and can't wait to start high school. He doesn't miss the other guys, thinks Dan had it coming for making him cry and generally wants everyone to know they're poor and stupid.
