Looking to be a great card tonight. Whole card is solid match ups and none I really dislike. Big fan of Moicano and respect him for stepping in, but poor guy is going to be killed against Islam. Hoping we get a real life Rocky story tonight and he some how shocks the world, but there is like a 1% of it happening.

I really like Moicano, whatever Pr coach he hired that got him to do his Money Moicano speech was worth every penny.

It would fill my heart with joy if he somehow won but he’s obviously going to get decimated. The style matchup is perhaps worse than Oliveira. Charles likes to walk you down which plays right into Islam’s strengths… Moicano is almost a brawler on the feet. I think he’s out of there late round 2 early round 3.

Round 2 sounds about right. Like I said, I'm glad he stepped in and in a situation like this your stock really can't go anywhere but up, but I don't want to see him get mauled while he's hitting his peak right now either. Unless he makes it competitive, it's probably going to be the fight I'm looking the least forward to tonight

I’m okay with it because of his age. He’s 35 or 36, it’s now or never. At least he gets to be in a title fight, that’s a peak most never get to experience. Will he get crushed? Yes. But he gets to shoot his shot and I’m happy for him for that.

I always forget that he is in his mid thirties. Very rare for most of these guys to hit their peaks at that age.

I was able to get him at plus money too today. I'v never been high on Hill and I'm shocked he's the favorite here.
I think on paper the stylistic matchup looks bad for Jiri.

Jamahal likes to pick his shots, he’s accurate and he’s got power; Jiri is nothing if not defensively open. He’s gonna get tagged like he always does. The books are probably weighing the two Alex KOs heavily here… but Jamahal is no Alex.

Round 1 will be a back and forth and go 10-9 Jamahal, maybe even some of round 2 before Jiri makes it real messy and puts him to sleep.

If @Child.. wasn't such a non-sport playing sissy he'd be in here right now bragging about the Islamic takeover of mma.
But he is, so he's not.

Their style of wrestling is just so much better as a base in this moment than American Folkstyle.

The blast doubles and relentless singles are only really working for Merab and Khamzat right now and both of those guys are very unique fighters.

For everyone else the Dagestani takedowns are much better suited for this era. Clinch, trip, drag ‘em down. It’s more like judo or Greco-Roman.

I've never heard it called this. I thought it was just classical Brit/American Greco-Roman style. Or collegiate wrestling.

They're also strong as fuck and don't get tired.

Collegiate wrestling is point-based, Dagestani is meant to hold you down, pummel you, and demoralize you.

Ricky is one of those guys I wish I liked more because he's pretty entertaining to watch, but has so many holes in his game.

This fight is confirming everything I've ever thought about Nakamura. Dude has always been just average, but hes pushed hard because the UFC needs more Japanese fighters. Dude getting exposed in there right now
