Keep in mind that this implies Rick would be the only human being at this hotel that had a manual transmission on a weekend where 70,000 people/mutants are visiting for a convention. He's Mama Raven's super special pig boy so of course that makes sense. Manual transmissions are just super rare! ~2.5% of cars sold in the US are manual transmissions yet this hotel has nobody on staff who has ever encountered one?

Fat Pig: driving stick isn't special or hard. It's more indicative that you are just poor in most cases. If your 1.2 GPA pig brain can do it, anyone can (and they did up until the 1990's when automatics became standard).

He loves telling lies related to people not being able to drive manual to make himself look like an extra special boy.

Remember his story about the carjacker who couldn't drive stick, so Rick offered to teach him and he just walked away? Totally believable scenario.

We are overthinking this, someone already posted the exact tweet pat was copying. Being the last car guy in the universe, he needed some cool car content for his car guying

Driving stick is fun and it’s easier to get cheaper cars because less people know how to drive them. I don’t go around bragging about it though.

All the douchebags I went to high school raved about how they could drive stick and others couldn't. If every Eurofag in a Scandinavian bumfuck village can do then its not a flex bro.

I learned to drive in a really old stick shift station wagon, so it’s just natural to me, but bragging about driving stick is truly bizarre.

I mentioned in the other thread about this, I’ve got a US and UK driving licence, from what I can tell everyone drives manual there. Are they all special boys like pig?

Side note, I once went back to the UK with my girlfriend who couldn’t drive stick, we couldn’t find anywhere that rented an automatic car so I taught her how to drive manual in less than an hour. She was driving around competently in an hour.

He really thinks driving stick is like having a fighter pilots licence.

When you're a middle aged, unemployed failure, it's probably tempting to turn every little thing into a huge accomplishment. Nobody I know would ever think being able to drive a manual car is something to brag about. Rick is truly bizarre and extraordinarily fat.

I've had a few 5 speed cars in my 20s (when you're supposed to give a shit about this kind of bs). It's no big deal. I don't even think they make them anymore - isn't it all paddle shifter these days?

That's like bragging about being able to use an abacus.

Please think carefully before buying a VW. I owned one and while it was very nice and great to drive for a time, it ended up turning into a nightmare.
I had a Passat for a while and it was great for the most part. Had to total it because I couldn’t get a 20 plus year old catalytic converter without spending a crazy amount of money.
