I've never liked his shows. The Tim and Eric type of humour isn't even surreal, like Monty Python - it's see what sticks to the wall and hope for the best.

I'll never understand how people find them funny. Ever seen clips of Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie? Did you find them funny? Well, yeah, those clips WERE funny, because it's Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in them. The rest of the movie blows.

Only a self-ordained comedian could make an album about Trump, whether positive or negative, and take it seriously. I'd rather go to a Russell Crowe new album listening party.

Check It Out was the only funny thing they ever did and that was because of John c. Reilly

Season 1 I can rewatch anytime and laugh continuously.

Season 2 and on suffers like every Adult Swim show past a certain point - it stops just being fun and either gets weird and cringy, or dark and mean.

It happened to Mike Tyson Mysteries after season 3, and it REALLY happened to Moral Orel.

I thought Mike Tyson Mysteries stayed great throughout.

Hmmmmm.... No. I don't agree. Season 4, if I remember right, was just very mean spirited and dark for the sake of being shocking. Remember the episode with the two guys who shared guilt over drowning their younger brother years before? And they drown themselves on purpose from the guilt, only for us to find out he's alive underwater in a commune of mer-people? And the last shot, as he hopes to see his brothers again, was them dead underwater?

The fuck was the point of that! It's not Outer Limits here! Don't give me bittersweet black humour in a Mike Tyson comedy!

I miss Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

It can be funny. I'm not anti dark humour at all, when it works.

Horror comedy is one of my favorite sub genres. It can be silly slapstick like Evil Dead 2, situational absurdity like Shaun of the Dead, or black comedy like Dead Alive. But there's some, I guess, heart to it? A semblance of depth or camp?

Yet when Adult Swim goes dark, they just go fucking overboard. I didn't laugh ONCE at that last season of Moral Orel. It's like one of those daft mid-run revamps your American shows do when it's, in the studios eyes, "not working". And it wasn't gradual either. It would be like the premiere episode of South Park being complete satire and the rest of the season being a gritty crime drama while Kenny slowly and painfully dies of AIDS.

And trust me, I LOVED Mike Tyson Mysteries. It made me like Tyson, it was that good. But by the last season or two, it has lost so much of its zest, I wasn't upset to see it go.

REDACTED (private music tracker) has a collage of music albums by comedians that aren't comedy. Him Teidecker is on there. I have not listened to a single entry of that collage.
Fucking Kilstein’s cat calling music video isn’t on YouTube anymore. That was hilarious. This was the beginning of it: “How would you like it if some girl stared at you on the street and screamed NICE COCK?!”
