I was shit-scared of the movie as a pussy kid, but watching it a few years ago as a pussy adult, it's absolutely worth the willies. The animatronic queen spider is goofy, that shouldn't bother you too much. The "trained" Avondale spiders used for the bulk of the movie on the other hand, those are some creepy bastards. John Goodman is so fucking good that I say it's worth some nightmares.
