No matter how he responds, the words have landed and the wounds have cut as deep as they will. There is no response he can conjur that will have the same effect on the rascals, cuz they know they're still hilarious.
Pat is a loser. I don't mean that as colloquialism; pat actually loses at everything he is party to. This is no exception. He is the architect of his own misery. I don't know if it is a symptom of low IQ, undiagnosed autism, latent personality disorders - one can only speculate. The only undeniable fact we can rely on is that he is absolutely correct that this ends when he says it does.
