Around a third of Jonestown residents, including Jones himself, were shot dead, possibly by British soldiers or mercenaries. I used to know this old Scottish guy who claimed he was one of them. He was completely out of his mind so he was either delusional or was telling the truth and was fucked in the head as a result of helping to massacre innocent women and children.
One thing was for certain, he definitely served with the Black Watch (the regiment sometimes blamed for "helping out" the CIA clean up there - Jonestown was almost definitely a CIA/MKULTRA mind control experiment and Jim Jones was an asset going back to the late 50s.)
