The cost of living crisis and the border crisis is getting to such levels of stupidity it’s becoming obscene.

Even non thinking cock suckers who believed in masks, vaccines and lockdowns must be realising the truth by now. I think even those guys realise a malicious intent is in charge and they don’t care about American (especially white people) people at all.

They’re going to kill Trump rather than let him win (for the third time) - it’s not even going to exciting, it’s just going to continue getting more and more shit insidiously.

Allow me to retort.

What makes me believe in the uniparty is the fact that Republicans absolutely refuse to use helping the homeless/poor and agreeing to some form of universal healthcare, if liberals would end fighting border hoard/invasion and send them all back (pull a Castro Mariel Boatlift type situation)- all non Mexicans get sent back first. Then Mexican illegals/dreamers- no path for citizenship situation.

I like how you think anything would be different under Trump.

It was, the same people were in control and we were still enthralled to them, but the economy worked pretty great. The lesser of two evils is a valid argument and not fence sitting.

They did not want Trump in and he did curb some things and we at least had prosperity.

isn't that what romney was doing originally? "obamacare" was just a bastardized form of the original "romneycare" right?

Yeah I'm not sure why trump/republicans do any better. The trick of the uniparty seems to be fucking over the middle or working classes but just in different ways. The democrats do it through entitlements, social and border policies. Prioritizing non working or tax paying people vs high earners and contributors.

The republicans want to give businesses and the extremely wealthy tax cuts and breaks that have an impact on the stock market, but dubious evidence for the issues in the OP for the majority of people.

And i'm in the middle saying whaddayah want from me!!! The enlightened centrist just like the destroyer.

I like that you think Trump had anything to do with the economy doing well for 3 years.

What specifically did he do? And what is the evidence for that correlation to those actions/policies ?

I’m interested to see voter turn out in 2024, I’ve said it before but this election reminds me a lot of 2004 - each choice was shit and either way it would stay the same and nothing was going to change. You have two old blowhards - that’s the best we can do? I don’t see how either side can be excited to vote. I can see a lot staying home.

Does voting work like online reviews or ratings? Meaning people will give a bad review because they are pissed more often then being happy and giving a good review. Does hating one side make people more likely to vote. Democrats might vote because they hate trump and republicans hate biden. The question being, does voting against someone might bring out more voters than being excited for one?

Not being Hilary helped. Avoiding any new wars, and working on getting American manufacturing back to America, or working with trade partners (India) who is not China as they virtually control our pharmaceutical and pork industries-- and hold a significant amount of private US land- he was working "decoupling" the US from China.

Granted TPTB knew what was coming down the road, but housing/apartment prices were stable and groceries were at a good place. Places that were LCOL, stayed low cost for living. Probably through cult of personality, he kept the economy pretty stable and regardless of what the MSM bleets on about, that's what most Americans care about.

Just guiding the ship (Opie), is a pretty good skill as a politician.

it will never really matter again who is in charge.

There’s an ancient truism of Chinese strategic culture: china is unconquerable because any would be conquerer would depend so much on the Chinese bureaucracy to run the country, it would perforce be required to become Chinese in time. Therefore, it doesn’t really matter who or what rules China.

Because of the size of the US (population and geography) and its worldwide empire, there is no way to administer things without somehow reconciling one’s beliefs and ambitions with the administrative state. Personal ambitions depend on the cooperation of the various apparata necessary to enact those goals. Presidents and politicians serve at the pleasure of the bureaucracy and whatever their particular political position, they will slowly need to become a part of that enduring bureaucracy to get anything done.

Only way out is to end the empire and shrink the government by 90%. Good luck with that.

Well people will vote out of anger - especially if you do something incredibly stupid like insulting voters (Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney are examples of this) and I can see the democrats really ramping up the “WERE ALL GONNA DIE AND LOSE EVERYTHING IF TRUNP WINS!! HES GONNA MAKE HIMSELF A DICTATOR!!!” Nonsense but for the average “middle of the road” person that doesn’t get too wrapped up in politics it just seems like both suck and it doesn’t really matter. It’s how I remember 2004 - both were bad but either way things weren’t gonna change and just deal with whoever wins. I just don’t see anyone excited for this election - it’s Jan 2024 and I’m already sick of it.

I don’t know what he did, or if he did anything at all, but I was better off than I was before or since and so were all the people I know (coffee container working Joe’s).

I don’t like him that much other than that he’s funny, and I don’t know anything about politics and I don’t think anyone should vote because it doesn’t matter, I’m just saying if you want to find a reason to vote, that’s a valid one as any other is.

I’m a bit of a conspiracy theorist so I think everything is fixed but I’ll say this: I don’t think it’s a coincidence that all these conflicts are happening now. I’m not even going to touch domestic problems.

We’re funding and arming a proxy war that’s at a stalemate with no exit plan in sight. Historically, Russias strategy was always centered around sending as many men to die as it takes to finally outlast the enemy.

The stuff in the Middle East is going to get uglier and uglier, and the US will continue to send funds and resources out there to both sides as our administration is terrified of picking a side.

The stuff in the Red Sea in particularly surprising because the Houthi’s are a terrorist group and there’s still hesitation to get them the fuck out of the way of a major shipping route, which is causing huge delays and shipping prices to double (more inflation?) When we finally do something, we use a $200,000 missle to destroy a $200 drone they can get from Amazon.

Everybody knows China is eyeing up Taiwan, another conflict we’re going to fund. It’ll be interesting to see if we sanction China like we did Russia.

It’s pretty obvious that the world is sick of our economic bullying. Were aggravating to deal with at best, and downright destructive at worst.

Imagine your Xi Jinping and you’re sitting in your private jet after you met with an 80 year old dementia patient to discuss global trade and geopolitics. You’d probably be offended they rolled him out there in the first place. Why wouldn’t you try to see if you could get away with something ?
