The Banshees of Inisherin is exceptional

There is so much to the self sabotage of Colm and his scapegoating of Padraic that the movie was just a psychological drama for me.

Then afterwards I spent a couple hours looking up different interpretations of the civil war which was cool, but you can enjoy it without that background.
Also notable how neither of the main characters were married or had children. Both substituted animals that couldn't challenge them or talk back to fulfil those roles. Colm had the excuse that his music was his focus, but, in the end his magnum opus was (I thought) deliberately underwhelming. He had the same delusions of grandeur that most people who feel they have one great song or one great book in them have.

I liked it, the premise is so childishly simple. Grown ass men acting like 12-year-old girls. Best character was the shopkeep who demanded fresh exciting news.

Did the last shot imply that the banshee woman set up the whole feud for her own entertainment?
