Anybody who wants a “wedding” is a retard…awww your big special day…what are you, 5? Nice spending years of your salary for a big party where you invite people (who don’t want to go and have better things to do) so they can make you the center of attention for the day. It’s purely womanly. Any man who “wants” a wedding isn’t a man.

People give Pat shit for having a $3K wedding in some dilapidated coffee shop with steel worker union chairs. That's one of the smartest things he ever did.

Bigger the wedding, shorter the marriage. It's always an enormous red flag. I knew a guy who was marrying a really middling broad, and she decided she had to have a very special princess wedding, with the horse-drawn carriage and etc. She had twelve bridesmaids, which meant he had to scrape together twelve guys to be in his fucking wedding. He had his brother, a cousin, two close friends, a couple other friends, then had to resort to asking people he barely knew, and coworkers too. I, and a few other guys, just laughed and said no fucking way. It fucking sucked, and she cunted him away five years later. I warned him, too. But he got all mad and refused to listen to reason.

Going by my 20s, the expense of the wedding translates to how likely the marriage is to end in divorce. The couples are I know who are still together mostly had modest get togethers.
Just "celebrated" 18 years of wedded bliss and we had a pretty casual backyard wedding at my mother-in-law's place. Spent the bulk of our money on the honeymoon and our first house.

I guess if you're stupid-rich, then sure. Make a go of it. But, for most people, a big fancy to-do is stupit.
