I do kind of admire the directors who sought to only make a tribute to 80s slasher movies with a low budget. I think they did that. And getting it picked up by streaming services for modern younger audiences who haven't seen the originals of Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, etc., was a great business move. They had a budget of a hundred grand or so and made millions off it.

How do you turn this into a modern franchise? I don't know.
The third one is going to suck and even people like me who appreciate what it's doing will hate it. So. Good for them. You made money.
