I taught my son about that situation when he was on his Apefrica unit in geography class because I knew it sure wasn't going to be mentioned by the teacher. I tried to find articles about it on the internet because he had to do a current event essay for each unit and I love teaching him to be the eloquent contrarian with his politically correct teachers, but all the mainstream articles I found about that situation called it a conspiracy theory by white supremacists. Using any right leaning source would get him an F or a C at best, even though mainstream news is obviously left leaning and not actually neutral. Teachers say to use neutral sources, but that doesn't exist anymore.
