I can add this to my collection of stories that I tell IRL people to sound relatable, along with having a rich brit friend that has a summer villa in tuscany and a friend of my uncle's that is a mobbed up airbnb landlord in canada

I had this friend blaze from way back...
one of those guys that just never amounted to anything.. you know, druggie, no sex life, never even left fucking boston in 33 years..... He accepted 30 grand from his indian boss for an arranged marriage to his daughter...
the dude flew to india on a whim, he was arrested on the layover in Paris for taking too many benzos and sent back to the states..
Last i heard from him years ago he was flying to india again, he's probably floating down the river ganges in multiple pieces (hat tip dogeater)...
we were never even that close, honestly.. rip...
