I think I may take reddit karma more seriously than a blue checkmark. It literally means nothing to anyone outside of twitter and I don't know a single person who uses that cat mom platform
Thats a really good point. I really dont think I actually know anyone irl who uses/has mentioned Twitter in almost years now. My mom has one i know shes mentioned but even the other day she said “i dont even use my phone anymore. I used to care about stuff like Twitter and Pinterest but i dont even use the thing anymore. Its all political nonsense or weird porn people and freaks.”

Was he verified before or after his little abortion thought experiment went viral? I'm sure that the standards for a blue checkmark have been raised since then. Just skimming this, a person is considered notable if any of following is true
- they have a public-facing role with a news organization that is considered notable,
- they have at least 50 credits on IMDb,
- they are on a professional sports team roster,
- they have a Wikipedia entry.

The Wikipedia entry seems like the minimum standard for a non-journalist, and he doesn't have that.

I'm pretty sure Wikipedia also has notability standards, and simply writing a few books that maybe dozens of people have read does not make you notable. Wikipedia articles have to have secondary sources like news articles. The only news articles that mention him are the ones that talk about the little thought experiment, and many of those were probably ephemeral clickbait articles that have vanished from the internet. Even Seth's article about the Nazi cabal that has secret meetings at The Stand comedy club does not mention Pat.

I've asked this before but I don't think anyone knows. Funny thing is now theres plenty we could fit into a FatRick wikipedia entry.
