I thought both of these pieces of Long Island garbage were doing HVAC work before Anthony got his big break. They probably saw that the rock star thing wasn't going to work, so they thought they should probably get real blue collar jobs (which is pretty much all they're qualified for). But they kept the dream alive by writing shitty song parodies which happened to appeal to Opie and caught his ear because he's basically retarded.

Once the Cumio Bros got their foot in the door, you know that Joe, not Anthony, was the one to sell Opie on getting into the Cumia business. Fortunately Opie is a functional retard, as he could see that Anthony was the real talent and not Joe.

Once Opie and Anthony got big, Joe saw his opportunity to convince Anthony that he was the one who brought them together, and Anthony owed him. I think they called it "tribute" in the old country. Anthony went for it because he is weak. The HVAC days were over.

As much as we shit on Joe, he was able to finagle his way into a yearly stipend from his lil bro. Not admirable, but better than he could have done on his own.
