Reminder: Rick's ultimate goal when he filed his lawsuit was to make quasi pay for legal expenses

Oh wait, no it wasn't. He wanted to

1. Identify and sue/imprison 60 John Does
2. Get KF shut down or at least intimidate Null into removing his thread
3. Sue Encyclopedia Dramatica (Whatever happened with that?)
4. Intimidate quasi into shutting the site down to avoid having to defend himself legally
5. Identify people through any means he could, including having his lawyers lie in court about us all living in Milwaukee and conducting undercover spy operations (how'd that work out? LOOOOOL)

How many of those things did he accomplished? Absolutely none. 9 months later and $100K+ spent and he's achieved nothing other than providing us with audio that will still be giving us loffs years from now.

We're still here; KF is still there, including his thread, which is now 100 pages long and at 100K+ views; Nobody has been identified or is facing any consequences. He had to walk away from KF with his tail tucked between his legs and his big win is now the small chance that he might not have to pay for quasi's legal fees, which we'll all chip (wassat?) in for even if that didn't work out in his favor.

Hi pig :) Hope you're looking forward to tomorrow as much as we are. We're going to enjoy what happens neck..tsssssssttt.

I suspect Pat might have a malpractice case against his own lawyers. Shouldn't Resto have let him know that it was possible for Pat to be held liable for legal fees of anyone he identifies?

The only scenario where they succeed is the one where Quasi immediately panicks and nukes the website. Aren't lawyers supposed to plan their strategies several moves and countermoves ahead? Of course that is impossible when you have 60 potential opposing litigants that you don't know anything about.

Resto can easily say pat brought this all on him self, that he advised pat multiple times to stop engaging. He can also say it was pats idead to stage the vandalism and that it is pat in that video

If Resto can produce one document where he instructed Pat to not interact with any potential defendants, I don’t see how piggy can win on malpractice. I’m willing to guess that some sort of client agreement was signed outlining fees etc. Which I’m sure was never read.

Maybe he has a case but who is going to fund it at this point? Who would he sue? Nicole, Brinton and Stavros? Just Brinton? Just Brinton and Stavros? Just Brinton and Nicole?

I believe Political Firebrands can enter contracts so I'm sure he signed separate agreements with all 3, who also probably signed agreements amongst each other. All operating in different states. Now we're talking about possibly adding contract attorneys in addition to his malpractice attorneys. All working on billable hours. All working in different states. All of which would have their own hearings. All of which would wait for another court to make a decision before moving forward.

It'd probably look a lot like his current suit where he thought he'd just be filing in WI but eventually had to file in multiple states, which will need to be resolved before WI could even begin moving beyond phase 1.

Is KF actually out of this? Did we ever get a reasoning? They and Barnes just vanished.

I'm sure Brinton told him, and that it was discussed at length in the paperwork he signed without reading.

That said, I applaud Rick's tactic of defaming his defamation lawyer during his defamation trial, and not just in public mind you; but to a member of the press. That's some bold shit.

Maybe this is what the NDA is about. Resto is making him shut his fat mouth before firing him as a client.
