Not sure what you mean. Can't a judge hold people in contempt (aka put them in jail) for almost anything? Granted, I'm sure it won't look good if it goes to appellate court

The judge has every right to question a lawyer on how they obtained that information. Yes, according to what Thugs lawyer cited, the private meeting was probably unlawful. HOWEVER, as the judge says, if it IS unlawful an appellate court can work that out…OR you could just say where you got the information (but the reason you won’t is because you’re doing some really unethical shit that could get you hit by the bar.)
Dudes an actual idiot because there were presumably ways to work this out and potentially get this case overturned without getting arrested. From what i’ve seen of it despite being a RICO charge against a literal gang the prosecution has been fucking up and making terrible arguments and the judge has “been on the defenses side” for a while.
