We sleep in the same room and neither of us are clean freaks or OCD about shit being in certain places. Sometimes I wish she'd move shit around more, like when I realize there's a stack of records or CDs that have been sitting out that haven't been played in forever or something. Most of the time if she does re-arrange something in the house, even if it annoys me instinctively right away, pretty quickly I get used to it and think it works. Occasionally after a little bit I'll be like "yeah that was a retarded idea, this goes back over there."

A good woman isn't going to touch "your stuff" unless she's cleaning or dusting around it. In which case, fine. When it comes to decorating/furnishing the place, my woman makes most of the choices because she's a woman and I'm not a gay man, just a regular faggot. She'll run it by me, but my input is usually just asking how much it'll cost. I've vetoed one kitchen colour scheme choice once, but otherwise you pick your battles wisely. Let her have her way with domestic things, then you have credit with the house for things you actually care about.

Gotta seize control of an office or a garage, or even just a decent shed that you can keep your important shit in. Then you need enough hobbies she doesn't understand so you always have something in there that she would fuck up if she touched. Woodwork and electronics work great but if you're a faggot you can try model building I guess. Varnish something and leave it curing, or lay out a bunch of components and tiny screws on your work bench. Keep bottles of stains and solvents out on the side and teach your kids not to go in there. It really helps if you let her cross a line early on. My girl once tidied up my office and left a magnet on top of a stack of hard drives and vaccummed out my computer fan and some other electronics. It didn't do anything, but I went ballistic and now she pretty much stays away from my stuff as long as I keep it contained.
