I have a bunch of friends who live and work in Dubai, Doha and Riyadh. Most work for multi-national banks, some in oil. Most English, a few Yanks. They all say the same thing. The Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Filipino serfs all want to work for Westerners because the locals, and Indian/Paki/Asian bankers/entrepreneurs literally treat them like slaves. They confiscate their passports, withhold wages, beat them. One of my my mates and his wife helped some poor Sri Lankan woman in Dubai who was a maid for one of their neighbours (Paki finance guy) escape back to her home country. But we're the bad guys.
