I lived in CR for two years. The locals absolutely cannot stand fat white rubes traipsing around all wide eyed at the monkeys and sloths, telling them how “beautiful” their country is when their local rivers smell like literal garbage and many people don’t have running water and have to use garbage-stench water for everything.
