Big fan of PIL and John Lydon and was looking forward to this one. Long story short, if you enjoy PIL's stuff you'll find something to enjoy in this album. It's decent, but far from their best material. Lyrically and instrumentally it's what you'd expect from John and the band which is fine, but being their first album in 8 years I expected some stronger material. Car Crash, L C F C, and Down on the Clown are the stand out tracks. The closing song Hawaii is honestly the worst song I think they've ever done and it's a shame because John wrote it for his wife who died of Alzheimer's, but his singing sounds so fucking terrible it doesn't even sound like him.

Worth a listen if you enjoy PIL, but I can't see it being an album I revisit in the future.
