To be fair, I haven't listened to a lot of bad albums this year, but this really is one of the worst piles of shit I've heard in a while. I don't even hate the guy, but every fucking song on this album sounds almost exactly the same. Either has some uninspired synth pop or acoustic guitar instrumentals going on and all 17 tracks are either about him having relationship problems, depressing, or alcohol and drug abuse. WE GET IT YOU HAVE DEPRESSION! I can't even see the most casual music goers who will just listen to whatever is on the radio liking this garbage. First time in a while I really struggled to make it through on an album. The song that sticks out the most is Speedometer and sounds like a straight rip off of This Must Be The Place by Talking Heads.

I give it a 1/10. What album should I review next?

He seems like a good dude
Part of the reason I don't hate the guy. I do get strong industry plant vibes from him, but he seems like a decent dude despite all his faggy tattoos and has more musical talent than a lot of these other shitty pop stars. Hollywoods Bleeding was a pretty decent pop album imo and even his last album had some good material on it as well. All the more reason I'm shocked by how terrible this one is. Even more baffled they let him drag it out to 17 tracks.

Carly Rae Jepsen has a new album out, it's not as good as Emotion but it listens pretty good. I'd love to hear your thoughts on some musical albums too.
the b-side record was superior to the actual release, honestly lol. jepsen's music works best as an ep, as her lp's tend to meander a lot. haven't checked out her new record yet
