The fastest car I've driven for more than a few feet was my buddy's dad's chipped 944, thing was insanely quick on the country roads where I grew up. 2nd gear went up to about 80, I ran out of road and had to brake before I could go for 3rd.

Porsche is a bad idea designed to perfection. Ferraris can be fast but there's something I don't like about the brand as a whole. I've driven some high end Porsches and once a Ferrari f430 but prefer the Porsche.

My wife got me one of those packages where they let you drive some guys super car that's in storage. I was more comfortable with the shifter in the porche. The Ferrari has (had) the very strict gates on the shifter that made me look down so I'd make sure I was in the right place. Also the "don't hit that bump or it'll cost 8k for a wheel" spoiled it. Porche seems like something I could just drive around in. I guess if I had the money I wouldn't care as much.

I'd rather and Aston Martin or Maserati because they're just a fancier normal car.

That's the big downside with modern sports cars. They aren't meant to driven anywhere. They are designed and sold to people like Jay Leno or Seinfeld and tiktok famous losers that just keep them sitting in a garage. The entire idea of Grand Touring cars was that you would be driving them across country or long distances. Not letting them sit in storage like a total faggot.

Customer service guy for a body shop that served a whole dealer chain of Porsche/jaguar/rover/mb/lexus. I sat with the service advisors and would take all the customers who came in with body damage
