No scam here, Joe just got lucky. I don't pay attention to Tesla stock but it seems pretty volatile these days. Joe could see a massive shift into more profit or the other way into a loss. I'd wager he will hold too long and ignore prime selling points like this (+20% on a short term play is not bad, just have to pay the short term gains tax)

Exactly. How does he have $10k to invest in Tesla? Responsible adults who saved and invested correctly don’t have $10k lying around to invest in one stock (they do however have $17k to fight frivolous lawsuits from thin skinned fat people)
