Played Diablo III

I got sick of the story by the third act and just skipped every cut scene but the one with Diablo in it. I feel like I still knew what was going on because it’s pretty simplistic. Anyway I think Path of Exile is a better game by far even though I detest the way trading works in it. Overall Diablo III was alright, I’ll play it through one more time maybe. It was pretty jewy with any cool loot in the last few acts.

The story is so fuckin bad, dude. They made everyone important to the story a negro or a female. Super gayshit. The gameplay was actually decent once Reaper of Souls came out, but fuck me the story was definitely written by a woman.

The expansion gameplay might not even come across "as better" these days after all these updates. When that xpack came out the game was basically in a dead state with shit drops. From what I recall, Reaper is where all the bells and whistles got released, the Greater Rifts were released late into the expansions life cycle and thats where all the content is I think. I stopped playing before Greater Rifts were a thing.

I played for probably a year and a half after the game came out. Its been 10 years.

The history Diablo 3 is fascinating. I played it on PC too at launch and only got to like Act 2 before realizing how shit it was.

Then they got rid of the real money auction house when the expansion hit. I didn't play it, but did try the PS3 version and couch co-op is a lot of fun. The fact that they were able to take a complete turd and essentially make it a very good game 3 years later is really interesting to me.

Blizzard isn't the same company in any way as they were in the 90s/00s. I don't hear anything at all about Overwatch 2. For them to release a game that basically goes straight to limbo is really unheard of.

D4 is dogshit. Everything is calculated to get you to spend time and money in the game. There was a "bug" that a perk that increased the amount of gold dropped also secretly increased the cost of all upgrades.

I have been enjoying D2R lately since the recent ladder is also available for offline characters. Shame they made every character ugly but that becomes a non issue when you great them out anyways.

I was the same way until I realized how enjoyable changing it to 7 players is to farm stuff. I also started Path of Exile but stopped since the league (ladder) is ending soon it's PFG too.

Can you play offline non-ladder? I would love to farm 7 player games solo. That would actually get me playing hard again. Its probably got to be an exclusive offline account/character?

Yes but it also includes the new runewords and endgame terror zones too. So you can still do everything offline. There are also some nice mods out there like increased stash space but I haven't messed with any.
