Twitter followers are all he cares about. He will say or do anything that he thinks will get him followers. I think he's under some misguided delusion that Twitter followers = success so he's all in on getting as many as he can. The results are already in, Pigman, you could have 150k Twitter followers and your shitty books aren't going to sell because they're shitty books.
