He made way more money in those boxing fights than he could have dreamed of making in the UFC. Also, the PFL paid him a fuck load of money and gave him a sizeable chunk of the company, also more than what the UFC would have. Also, he's 38 years old so it's not like he's missing a whole lot.

i guess, its about money after all and UFC aint getting much buzz these days. it was funny when Ben Askren was considered the best outside the UFC then got KTFO by roid head robbie lawler straight away getting into UFC, then another jabroni knocked him right into retirement
