Pat was hired by that dorky cuck publisher because of his political firebranding on twitter. The guy explained this in his technophiles episode; he wanted an author who was active on political twitter.

Problem is, Pat no longer works for him. Those days are gone. Pat has no need for Twitter firebranding anymore, besides to cater to his crippling addiction.
