Nobody this upset actually watched the trial, they just watched the heavily edited highlights on CNN /MSNBC and waited for how the talking head to tell them what to feel. If his legal fees got covered for him in this case, it's delusional to think they wouldn't be in a civil. The 2nd amendment crowd propped this kid up from the get-go, if the media and the public hadn't stirred the pot and created this shit show, he might have wound up going to court without lawyers his family's meager income could have afforded. They basically handed him the win but shining enough of a spotlight on him to get people vested in his release.
