Alright I’m probably going to make a sober post in this thread later but, if you buy a helmet for your motorcycle then what’s the point? I’ve ridden on dirt bikes, popped wheelies, hit jumps, etc, and it doesn’t feel the same if you’re safe. Now, to be fair to those bad ass kids who run serious competition, I respect them and what they do. I just don’t get the appeal to riding a motorcycle if there’s 0 danger involved. My grandparents stopped riding bikes when they got too old. They refused to drive those new trikes. Maybe I’m missing something here, just in my experience I thought it was about the amount of danger and control you had.

I grew up going out to the desert for every fall/winter holiday and the first thing I learned was to wear a helmet. My cousin had to fix his 3 wheeler and test drove it around the outside of camp to make sure it was working hit an old camp fire and broke his jaw on the crash.
