Maybe unrelated? But it is on the topic of Opie getting fired. It was always funny to me how Opie framed it as “FAWWWWK THINGS WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOURE IN THE INNER CIRCLE!!!” But Roland was the LAST fucking person to have that done to him. Even if Opie thought he was in the inner circle he wasn’t.
He was barely an on air personality and when he was he wasn’t a complete punching bag like Sam, Erock, etc.
He wasn’t a part of the show like how Travis was an intern for Jim and Sam. He was employed by the company and not the guys. They may have had some sway if they wanted him gone but, again, they couldn’t outright fire him or tell him to jump like the employees of their show, I.e. Sam.
Opie thought “Fawwwk…if you have a problem with it come to me not HR!” when thats not really how things work nowadays, and once again, Roland was not Opies bitch. If Sam got his picture taken on the toilet I can imagine him going to Opie before HR because they were tight like that and Sam was an employee of Opie. As an employee for Sirius, Roland had the responsibility to take it to HR. Who would have known what Opie would have done anyway? Lets say Opie deleted everything. He would still try the next day to get Roland in and make a big bit out of the bathroom shot and how Roland made him delete it.

Sam was much, much uglier when he had his afro and 0 facial hair. God may damn me to hell for what i’m about to say, but with the bald head and beard he looks pretty acceptable and at least human. He looks way more mature and like a man than Anthony.

1.) Roland was talent for Sirius, not the boys. If he shit on them management would probably ream them out.
2.) Roland held leverage over O&A. If Sam or Erock turned around and said “Fuck you i quit” who cares? If Roland said “Fuck you i quit” 99% of the guests are gone.
3.) Roland was the only one who wouldn’t ballwash. No matter how hard you shit on Erock or Sam they wouldn’t fight back. Roland, even if you lightly teased him, would start mocking your dead dogs. Ant and Opie were sensitive faggots as we all know and would break at the seams if Roland started going off on them.

Scott the Engineer was one of Sirus' employees too. Now in fairness, by the time howard got to sirius, he had calmed down on making fun of scott's baldhead, smoking, etc...However- howard would take a shot here and there during his sirus years

Roland told Sirius management that he didn't like being mocked on air for certain things. So he was off limits from the boys as far as brutal beatings went. They might goof on him for his bad Godfather review "it had uh...action". But not for him being obese or clearly clinically retarded. But a few times Patrice or Vos or some other comedian would goof on Roland and it would cause some issue. There was the time that Vos hit Roland with a fat joke and Roland basically spent a full minute ripping on Vos for not being famous enough to be a guest on late night shows. You can tell that someone, probably Opie, told Vos to back off of Roland because Vos basically stops with the brutal fat jokes and lets Roland slide even though he could have made Roland cry.
Everyone on the show was mocked or goofed on heavily including the hosts. Erock was left at a concert, harassed on his honeymoon, and had his personal cell number leaked on air. Sam's mother was called on air and asked repeatedly if she liked anal and ass to mouth and all sorts of gross stuff. Norton was goofed on for being a weirdo. Anthony was mocked for his looks "Anthony looks like Anthony after a meth run". Opie put baby shit on his own face. Even Master Po who was not on air talent ended up embracing the show format and even did his own show The Arena. Roland was clearly some type of autistic baby who couldn't let the ribbing get to a point where he didn't like it. We know that guys would go to HR about O&A's harassment all of the time. Master Po tried to get multiple people fired for doing stuff like hiding his chess pieces. Multiple interns complained to the point where the show lost its ability to get interns. Even Opie himself after the FH Riley's blowup told management he was quitting and wanted management to inform Anthony the show as over rather than confront Anthony himself.
Roland was not a good fit for the show and could not take certain jokes. It was Roland who got the fake Roland twitter account shut down despite how hilarious it was. Roland cried after the show about the Kristen Bell hangup and complained to HR. Roland also kept getting food companies to cook stuff for the show and bring the show to a grinding halt just to stuff himself. His restaurateur father had connections to Sirius and got him the job when he was clearly a mentally retarded spic not qualified to actually produce any part of a radio show.
They all worked for Sirius. Aside from maybe Kenny. Sirius hated O&A more than they hated the show staff. Hence Sam and Jim surviving the firings of Anthony then Opie. Stern's crew of kike businessmen were the ones in control of Sirius so the writing was on the wall after the merger.
Roland had zero leverage. His mother and father got him the job. His mother basically manages his career and life. He almost never booked guests for them on his own. Sirius would share guests with the entire building. So some comedian would book himself on a dozen different Sirius shows and do them one by one. Even Stern would borrow from the pool of guests every day and had his own 'Roland' who booked from the guest pool.
Guys like Steve C or Sam booked more guests than Roland for sure. Norton would also book guest as well like porn whores or sometimes classic moments like Roy Den Hollander. And some guests were plug whores like Ian Halperin and would book themselves.
Danny would attack people like crazy because Anthony protected him to the point where Danny would attack guests and comedians. Master Po also fought back against O&A and went to HR behind their backs multiple times. Roland only fought back against other people on the show. He would only fight against O&A by doing to HR behind their backs. Opie learned the hard way that Roland had been badmouthing him to HR after Roland got him fired.
