I am likely richer than most the people in there ( unless they are sports men or huge rappers)

I just turned down a invite to the pub to watch cricket and football at home and invited my buddy over mine as £5.50 a pint really doesn't make sense when I have the same beer in a bottle at home for far cheaper

I live in the north east, and am in my early 30's. When i was like 15-16 it was £1.70 a pint, £1.50 for Fosters lol. It was also like £4.50 for 20 Lambert & Butler. Everything has gone up loads, but i hear some horrifying stories of the prices down south.

My local place in Yorkshire isn't much cheaper anymore tbh granted it's not a back street boozer but pubs are done imo. Price is just well above anything justifiable.

I think I paid 6.50 in London the other month. Once I have had a few the price goes out the window and always has so I try and stop falling into that trap regularly

Weatherspoons is unironically the cheapest place in town now apparently which is kinda sad as we had 14 local pubs at one point. My mate was working in down London a while back and said it was £10-12 for a double JD and coke.

I remember circa 2006 being "warned" by the bay staff vodka red bull was a fiver. If only I could go back and make the most of that. Oh and tell the barmaid her daughter was going to decide to be a boy

Congratulations, you're capable of thinking ahead. I'd wager that most of these "playas" can't plan more than a day in advance when it comes to most things, including their finances. These types usually drive a flash car that's uninsured and live with their mums in a small apartment. Designer clothes, 50 pairs of Jordans, cash in their pocket, but are broke next week until they "slang mo rock" or whatever the kids say these days
