Now that Patrick has been exposed and is officially on the hook for $24k to Quasi...

All depends on whether the SFWA can pull their funding I'd say. Once they're aware of how badly things are actually going, they may quickly convene their occultist child fingering tribunal to stop any further losses.
I cannot wait until the day he declares bankruptcy to get out of paying back the SFWA, permanently burning his only bridge left and publicly taking a loss so big that he cant possibly spin it as a win.

Im starting to think theres a possibility that this ends with Patrick being arrested for refusal to reimburse Quasi. Could you imagine Patrick trying to cope in jail?
I like to picture a scenario where Slick Rick is fighting with the aryan brotherhood over control of the TV. "Maddow is on in five. Turn it to MSNBC, nazi child."

Can someone who is not a lawyer shed any light on the likelihood of going to prison for failure to pay court ordered fees?
Merely being unable to pay them wouldn't land the guy in prison, however if there was a recording of him saying such things as "I'm never going to pay him a penny even if ordered to do so by a judge", he might run into problems. What most likely happens is he declares bankruptcy

I understand Quasi can put a lien on his belongings and bailiff’s can go and seize them. Was hoping there might be further penalties for insisting you won’t follow the decision of the court.
