A lot of the 'epic' scorcese shit from goodfellas on is overrated as fuck. Also shutter island was the definition of farting into the wind, just a massive waste of time by everyone involved, including the viewer

When the mob hits are doing down late in Casino the guys are using plastic BB guns painted black and not even pulling the trigger on them. Sopranos did the same thing in some episodes likely goofing on Casino by using BB guns that wouldn't even cycle a blank round. Sopranos even did closeups on the fake guns.
