My partner is about to start a sexual relationship with someone else and I feel horrible with no idea why

We just entered a nonmonogamous relationship. I want to do romantic and sexual hookups with other people. They want to do romantic and sexual hookups with other people. I want them to be free and happy. They want me to be free and happy. We both love each other. They have someone we both trust to do it with. It hasn't started yet but its going to happen.

Why am I so depressed about it? It doesn't feel like jealousy. I'm just really sad. I don't know what to do. Any sort of reasons, pointers, etc. as to why I could be feeling this way, please let me know. Thanks.
