OK, lets break it down.
- Insurrectionism is not the word he is looking for. He means insurrection
- 14th amendment does not require a conviction. It clearly states: "US officials who take an oath to uphold the Constitution are disqualified from holding future office if they “engaged in insurrection” or have “given aid or comfort” to insurrectionists. The Colorado Supreme Court and the Main Secretary of State concluded that Trump had given aid and comfort to insurrectionists. Thats it. Constitution does not require a conviction. Nowhere in the 14th amendment is anything about a conviction stated. So Joe is just making shit up again.
- Colorado and Maine are not blue states, they are purple states

The outrage of this is the whole “slippery slope” fear but you’d be a fool to think they’d ever remove him from purple states that lean more red or flat out red states. Because of this there is simply no scenario where people like Joe can claim they’re systematically destroying Trumps chances in 2024.
In the primaries he is slated to win almost every state. So even if he can’t win Colorado, Maine, or Alaska he gets the primary win. And if it goes to an election he wouldn’t win…Colorado or Maine, which have both voted D for the past 20 years (in terms of Presidents), which again wouldn’t make him lose any votes. And if he were removed from the Alaskan ballot that means only 3 electoral votes for Biden.
