Amazingly, no Vietnamese person I've ever met (quite a few, as they run a lot of the small businesses here) holds any grudge towards America. They're also some of the most enthusiastic capitalists and entrepreneurs around. They hate the Chinese, but not the French or Americans.Nice 50 year out of date view of Vietnam, stupid.
Most of the ones not in Vietnam are South Vietnam refugeesAmazingly, no Vietnamese person I've ever met (quite a few, as they run a lot of the small businesses here) holds any grudge towards America. Every chinaman I've ever actually interacted with was pretty cool. That's because Vietnam is a young country demographically. It doesn't mean they forgot about the war or anything, but for the average Vietnamese it's a more distant thing than to a lot of Americans, because proportionally there's a bunch more people who were actually alive when the conflict was happening.Amazingly, no Vietnamese person I've ever met (quite a few, as they run a lot of the small businesses here) holds any grudge towards America.
