I doubt they even asked stern or OnA to be in this, it seems their budget is very low for these “dark side” spin offs. They did an episode on the Eagles / Cowboys rivalry and they only could get no name players from the 90s to interview. Also the Artie Lange was mostly talking to Debra Wilson who hasn’t been anywhere since Mad TV and probably hasn’t talked to Artie since the 90s.

Then Stern goes against O&A and they destroy him so badly that he and CBS spend millions on legal fees to write gag orders against O&A. Then years later pay O&A even more millions of dollars to ride their contract out in suspension rather than compete with Stern head to head on a rival station.

Howard lies and says that he "warned" cowboy ken stevens about O&A. My theory is he phrases it that way to 1. make himself sound prophetic 2. imply that he gives warnings to his bosses 3. but can play it off like he meant "tried to warn him business-wise about them being a liability to the company."

What really happened was Howard went crying to Ken and begged him to neuter O&A, because firing them outright would just make it too obvious and O&A were making too much money for Infinity. O&A wanted Howard to join their station in late 99 when it went to All Talk. Howard also lied later and said when he spoke to XM that they said they regretted hiring O&A because it meant he wouldn't want to sign with them.

Howard aborted O&A quickly and quietly once he realized that he was either intentionally or unintentionally copying bits from their show like the song parodies and the balloon knot thing. No he made $10million just for sitting out the rest of the contract. That doesn't include all of his income prior to that on the station plus his income on his previous stations. Anthony being broke is astonishing and ridiculous when you consider that he could easily have a net worth of $50million had he invested responsibly.
