Here in NY and NYC we are at full mask requirement for all businesses yet again. Gyms, shops, grocery stores. I do not wear a mask anywhere. I went to the post office today and half of the employees were not wearing masks. No one said anything. The cops working security at the courthouse also did not have masks on.
We also have issues with police and firefighters and EMTs getting released due to vaccination requirements still. And there is talk of a national lockdown coming from Biden for all travel. Not just a vaccination requirement for air travel. But a requirement for vaccination, boosters, and quarantine for interstate travel even.
Also I used to work in politics for a living. Michelle Obama has an exploratory committee to run for president. Rumor is that if Biden soils his diaper again that the Democrats will run Michael Obama instead of Harris.

It's not gonna happen and if it does it will fail miserably. Americans were getting back into normal daily life in 2021, the vaccine rollout was successful, and everything was looking bright. But now, right in the dead of winter, there's a new "variant" that's going to set us back all the way to April 2020 again? Reality, facts, that's all unimportant. All that matters is what Americans are going to tolerate and they're not going to tolerate a national lockdown. If it happens, it'd be widely defied and barely enforced. The general sense that I get is that most people feel they've already done their part and they likewise feel somewhat hoaxed by this "booster shot" nonsense too. And I mean average regular people here, from across all political spectrums. There's simply not some wild Stephen King virus shredding its way through the population and people are responding in kind.

Philly is gonna do it again. I hear the my job's administration is talking about it and they're dancing around the idea of it, so it's only a matter of time. I've been saying it's been a possibility since the (((numbers))) have been going up but this definitely feels like they're going to do it again. That'll be the final nail in small businesses. Next month interstate trucking needs the shot and they're definitely not fucking doing that.

Only concerns I have about another lockdown and handouts is how much more it's going to effect inflation and what it's going to continue to do with kids not being able to socialize or do anything outside the house.
