I understand crypto, but I've never bought it because there is no way to know it's not a giant honeypot created by the state anyway. Great way to soak up liquidity and then have selloffs where big holders by at pennies on the dollar and you've transferred wealth. When you pump traditional markets with cheap money and people have a new asset class that they overbid on you dry up a lot of that money. I'm no fan of the government controlling stuff but the existent monetary system is pretty widely understood and HAD a small built in inflationary pressure to spur investment in capital. How can they now get ordinary people to move cash holdings? That's what I fear crypto was. They want all the capital concentrated.
