When Hank asks who Octavio is, Dale refers to Octavio as his “Gal Friday”

For some reason when watching this clip I decided to look up the reference because I didn’t get the term

So I looked it up. “Gal Friday” was a popular play off the term “Guy Friday”, when referring to female assistants. Guy Friday being Robinson Crusoe’s man servant

I think thats so genius to have Dale mis use this term in such a funny way

That is all

what do you mean?

he should have called “Octavio” his “Guy Friday”

he didnt know that was the origin of “Gal Friday”, as it would have made more sense seeing as Guy Friday was a foreigner like Octavio.

that movie title is also a play on “guy friday” dumb dumb. the bitch’s name in the movie is “Hildy”
