Just a few months ago, Joe DID sell a few legitimately valuable guitars he owned. Then he almost immediately took two cruises and treated himself to a weekend getaway in AC. Meanwhile, his booze-sodden brother blew hundreds of thousands of dollars on a house he doesn't even use, and shells out five grand a month to keep renting an apartment in order to continue doing his "show" from NYC, a "show" that no one sees and no one wants anything to do with.

It must eat Joe alive when he sees Nana frittering away the showbiz money like that, too. And he can never say a thing about it, lest he gets totally cut off.
