He stinks. His playing is sloppy and shortcut-laden, strictly amateur hour. He never goes off on a genuinely impressve run and he has no style of his own either. Joe is like a paint-by-numbers hobbyist vs. a real artist, it's just mimicry and muscle memory, he misses the nuance and flair in everything he plays.
Guaranteed he has 0 ear training. All he does is memorize guitar tabs, fucking novice. Can't figure out Mary Had A Little Lamb to save Layla's life

He said that the kid who played a Van Halen solo to perfection has no talent because he could look things up on the internet and Joe had a much harder time when he started out. But that makes no sense because the internet has been around longer for Joe than this 11 year old kid so going by that logic Joe should be a better guitarist but that is not the case. All he has to show for is these shitty covers.
He also mentioned that the kid had no creativity since he is just covering existing songs and that true musicians should play original music. He legitimately said this without noticing the irony in his words.

Joe's only original band was the laughably shitty Rotgut, a band that made Stuttering John's records sound like "Physical Graffiti" in comparison. Joe is not a "true musician" and he doesn't have a shred of genuine artistic talent in his fat bloated body. Note how no other local musicians want anything to do with Joe, a sure sign that neither he nor his abilities are respected by his peers. There are dozens of cover/tribute bands working the NY/NJ circuit, and Joe is in none of them.
