If we're being absolutely strict about this, I was hoping against hope that the crusade against Cumia would bear some fruit and we'd see the old creep finally exposed. He wasn't really enough of a presence on the show that I could make a judgement and from talking on Reddit to him, I found him to be almost complete poison. In that moment I kinda realised how he'd burnt every last bridge he crossed. I just was kinda rooting for him for a short period of time though so yeah I guess for that brief few days I didn't absolutely despair of him.
