The problem with Joe's plan, and I know, it's hard to believe there is one, is that there are (this is back of the envelope math) probably about 40 million soft targets where people gather for shooters to pick from in the United States between public institutions, businesses, and places of worship. To place 2 or 3 armed guards at each of these would require a tremendous increase in immigration to fill positions, and then you've got a bunch of Mexicans, Indians, and Romanians running around with all your guns.

Edit : and where is the money coming from to pay these hundred million Romanians? Are these volunteer positions? Even if you introduce conscription and just have people patrol the street for 2 years after high school, they still need to be fed, sheltered and clothed at the very least. If you just trust citizens militias take that up, that already happens in Chicago, they're called the Gangster Disciples and they're not very good people.

we got one this year, we now have an armed off duty cop at my kids elementary school this year, we have to pay for it as parents. it's not in the budget but we all chipped in and paid for it ourselves... he seems like a good guy, has young kids himself.

My guess is that at some point in the past, his daughter had a parent-monitored FB account, the one he's using now. She didn't use it much, if at all, and it just sat there dormant, until a desperate Joe remembered it after he was banned and took it over as his own. I bet she has no idea he uses it, and would die of embarrassment if she found out.

From what I hear, people under 25 don't even use facebook, as it's gotten the rep for being for embarrassing old people.
