Slackjawed Cow

I laugh at them because they're all the same.

Earlier today my mom(a retired teacher) was telling me about how the mother of one of her former students died from viral meningitis a week or two ago. Apparently, she caught it from her husband who caught it from the lady he was cheating on her with.
I wouldnt be surprised if he was up to no good. He has been touring with Johnny Depp so Id imagine there was dirty girls on tap.

If you'll excuse me while I earnestly eulogize...

Beck was a genuine visionary on electric guitar. Original, innovative and unique.

What he really needed was a songwriting partner and vocalist. Page had Plant, Richards had Jagger and so on. Beck had Stewart, briefly but Stewart wasn't a particularly skilled or prolific writer himself.

Still, he left a decent body of work. His two instrumental records Wired and Blow by Blow are great. His first couple Jeff Beck Group albums are strong too and there's some good live stuff if you're into that kind of thing.

RIP

IMO this is a perfect synopsis. Beck was the lone wolf who never really had a band. A little like Yngwie Malmsteen, only more substantive. I love "Blow By Blow", it's a quintessential 1970s record.
