I don't think it's started yet. I don't think he'd lie about it, but I do think he'd realize he can't hack it and back out, leaving them fucked.

I think this is how things will START for him. He is going to walk on that boat like he is the reincarnated Jimi Hendrix. We'll see abunch of selfies of him boarding, day one/two/three selfies sipping some exotic alcoholic beverage with a comment like 'ah, the good life' or reference to being a 'working musician', picture of the buffet saying COMP'D!!
But as I've said in other cruise threads, I think the reality of the situation will punch him in the face really fast. Tiny cabin, toilet so small he can't properly wipe his ass, being confined to the boat for days at a time. Entertain people he hates (blacks and libtards in Biden shirts) that he can do nothing about. He will be miserable for at least 75% of trip.
Bottom line is the 'working staff cruise life' is not designed for 70 year old Men. It's for high school and college graduates who have no roots anywhere and no clue what they want to do with their life. They get to sail around, see some cool shit, have no real living expenses, for three, four, five or six years while they figure out life and they go stay with mom and dad for a week or two in between their adventures. If you have a mortgage, child expenses, a car loan, etc, you financially gain nothing by being a cruise employee other than free food.
The funniest part in all this is, after his 4 month stint is over and he realizes its not a sustainable lifestyle for a man his age, he will have sold off all the stuff he needs to make a living as a working cosplay musician on reverb.
