This apostate said he’s looking to make a more inclusive church. But every religion from Judaism, to Catholicism, to Islam, to Methodist, to Baptist is inclusive. The Bible states clearly that anyone who accepts the will of God and worships him is included in his church. Even evangelical religions accept gay people these days, because the New Testament says we should love the sinner. and hate the sin. There’s no inclusivity issues when it comes to race in any major religion. That’s why Black people are overwhelmingly Christian in this country. Thanks to the French and Spanish influence in this part of Louisiana there’s many black members of my Catholic Parish. Along with Hispanics and traditional European Catholic ethnicities like Irish, Italian, German, French and Spanish. Even have a few people of Portuguese extraction in our Parish. Our younger priest is from Nigeria. He came here to school and become a priest. So claiming his church is more inclusive than Catholicism. Baptists, Methodists or Lutherans is laughable.

Not to take away from your point which I agree with but turn the other cheek is in reference to Romans not being allowed to hit a slave with an open hand. Turning the other cheek is actually a metaphor to put yourself into a position not to be hit
